Counselling
A safe space to talk, heal, and feel heard
Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes we carry things — memories, worries, experiences — that shape how we feel today. At S4F, we offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk things through, at your own pace.
We understand how trauma, stress, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can affect how we cope. That’s why our counsellors work in a trauma-informed way — meeting you with empathy, patience, and respect, no matter your story.
ACEs can include mental health issues in the family, any kind of abuse or neglect, losing someone close, a parent or carer’s drug or alcohol issues or experience of domestic abuse.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to listen, we’re here.
Speak to a member of the team or contact us directly — we’ll guide you through the next steps with care and kindness.

Support for Families offers confidential counselling for those identifying as girls/young women/ non-binary aged 12-20yrs. The counselling service offer a non-judgemental and safe space for navigating emotional challenges of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), including the impact of trauma.
Our counsellors work in a trauma-informed, person-centred way—creating safe spaces for reflection, healing, and growth.
