Community Fridge @ S4F

Our Community Fridge is here to support local people and families who may be struggling with the rising cost of living. At present, it runs every Tuesday alongside Aunties@S4F Café, with plans to expand very soon.

Across the UK, 1 in 7 people are facing food insecurity, while at the same time 4.6 million tonnes of food are wasted every year. Alongside food insecurity, many households also experience hygiene insecurity — the difficulty of affording everyday essentials like soap, toothpaste, or sanitary products.

The S4F Community Fridge helps address both these challenges by offering a mix of free items and goods available for a small donation. What’s on offer will vary depending on what we receive, but our aim is simple: to make sure no one in our community has to go without the basics.

This is a judgement-free space, where dignity, equality, and inclusion come first. Our larder is not just about food or hygiene products — it’s about helping people feel supported, respected, and never alone.
